In Kaohsiung, take the streetcar to explore the Pier-2 Art District—a renovated former warehouse complex—and head to Lotus Pond, a spiritual spot known for the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas! Finally, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Love River while shopping for souvenirs.

We were able to efficiently visit the main tourist spots in Tainan. Lunch was delicious, too. Our guide was elderly but quite energetic. At places like Chikan Tower, I wish he had told us a little more about Taiwan’s history and its relationship with the Dutch. Since it’s an old town, he did share some historical stories, but to me, the information felt a bit fragmented. It made me want to look into it further on my own.
